What private transport costs with us

With Mandara Bali, a private car with driver for up to four people is $36 for a half day (5 hours) or $72 for a full day (10 hours), anywhere in Bali. Prices are in US dollars, as of October 2026.

A Toyota HIACE with driver is $95 for a half day (5 hours) or $179 for a full day (10 hours), and seats 10 to 14 passengers depending on the model in use that day. A Toyota HIACE Premio is $125 for a half day or $225 for a full day, and seats up to 10. For larger groups we combine vehicles.

It depends on the number of people, the luggage, and whether everyone is going to the same place. We run cars for 3, 4, 6 and 8 passengers, HIACE vans for 10 to 14 and the HIACE Premio for up to 10, and combine them as needed. A group of twelve going to one hotel might travel in one HIACE; the same twelve with surfboards, or split across three hotels, needs a different plan. We set this out in your quote.

Time beyond the booked hours is charged at 10% of the published rate for each extra hour. For a full-day car at $72, that is $7.20 an hour.

For retreats and groups we usually quote one per-person, per-day rate covering all transport for the stay: airport arrivals, the day's driving and departures. It depends on group size, the number of days and where the group is going, so the organizer gets one number to plan around. Corporate programs are quoted as a whole, with transport inside the proposal.

Each experience on our booking site is priced as a whole for the day, including your private driver, so you see one price for the experience rather than a vehicle rate plus extras. These published rates are for transport booked on its own or built into a group program.
